What Should Be Done?

Here in New Hampshire, we have the worst protection for preborn babies. Their moms and dads are not given reasonable information about the development of their child. They are not reliably, told of all of the risks to a woman submitting to abortion. There are no inspections of the conditions in the facilities. There are no required images or models to show women what they are submitting to.

It is so ridiculous to me that, in any doctor’s office there are loads of charts, graphics, diagrams, models and booklets to explain exactly what will be discussed and what procedures might be performed.

It is frustrating. The idea that there are children being torn, limb from limb, a few towns away breaks my heart. I find myself sobbing at times. In my position as Chair of NHRTL Educational Trust, I believe there must be more that I can do. There must be more activities, more teaching, more outreach, more writing, speaking and educating that I could do.

This is my biggest and most obvious failure as a leader. My team is loosely connected and pitifully overburdened. I can see it so clearly, because I have been ill and have pulled back on my own participation and there are not enough people with the vision to continue to get the work done to reach more of New Hampshire’s people with the message that everyone deserves the Right to Life.

I am a student of Scripture and of history. I believe our Founding Fathers were also. I am sure that the Declaration of Independence was no trite representation of their principles. The “certain inalienable rights, among these the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” were granted by our Creator. These are not to be diminished by the government.

We are so lost. We are so far from these principles. There is little hope of restoring the right to life will be extended to preborn babies any time soon. Our current legislature refused to acknowledge that a baby is a person, before birth. They are struggling to even name a baby, killed by a violent act against his mother, as a victim of the crime.

They have no acknowledgment. Who’s next. I mean, if we can go about our lives with hardly a notice of the atrocities being committed in these numerous killing centers, what will be next? Will our elderly dementia sufferers or terribly infirm be dehumanized? Will we fall into a utilitarian ethic for all people?

College campuses are discussing after birth abortion. They will soon be the leaders that will determine policy. Will they be better than our current leaders. I hope so. In very way I know how, we have tried to reach out to college students. Thank God some people are helping this generation reach each other.

Scripture tells us that in the last days, every intent of the heart of men will be evil continually. I wonder how far we are from that time.

What should be done? What are you doing?
