Schizophrenic Society

We are living in a schizophrenic society. There is no doubt about it. The explosion of knowledge has made all knowledge equal to many people. Knowing what you had for dinner or that your cat did something cute and knowing that a man was burned to death for being Christian are simply stories side by side. They have lost gravity and value in the mix.

What we know:

We know that there are laws to protect children from abusive grown-ups. We know that those same laws don’t protect the smallest children from being literally cut up in pieces and disposed of, or burned alive by poisoning, or killed by lethal injection. Abortion procedures, all.

We know that pornography and violent media influences some people to rape women and small children; and  public bathrooms are being desegregated.

We know that violent criminals roam the streets with illegal weapons of all kinds; and we know that our ability to protect ourselves is being scrutinized and too often halted by laws that prohibit legal weapons from law-abiding citizens.

We know that our brothers and sisters are fighting to keep us free; and we know they are being told to stand down and let atrocities abridging freedom continue around the world.

We know that lawmakers swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Some of them indignantly claim it’s invalidity to modern-day society.

We know that we live in a nation of laws; and we know our leaders are deemed above the law, if only by the few with the power to hold them accountable.

We know that rape is a traumatic core violation. And we know that if a woman becomes pregnant by rape, she is expected to lay down and let another invasion kill her child, piece by piece.

We know that we are complicated beings, with a spirit soul and body; and we know that the pharmaceutical companies and doctors want us all to behave by using their drugs.

We know that goods and services require energy, produced by people at a cost; and we know that free stuff is a mandate; a rule demanded by the state that requires goods and services to be stolen from some people and given to others.

We know that we hear increasing reports of horrific brutality toward sex trafficking victims; and we know that police are still charging the victims and letting the traffickers and buyers out onto the streets to continue their crimes.

Each is Unique

We know the US of A has numerous laws increasing penalties for harming human beings in increasingly violent ways: premeditation, conspiracy, and violence to death. We know that human beings develop from a single egg through very different stages of development including childhood, adolescence, adulthood etc; and we know that none of those laws matter if a mom says she wants her child dead before birth. The premeditation, the conspiracy to commit the act, the incredible violence that the children suffer are irrelevant, if she has the money and is able to travel. She can get it done and no one is held accountable here.

When did we become a schizophrenic society. How can this be? Where is justice?
