They’re Play’n You

Fake news, politics and politicians, your college buddies, and your cousin Joe are tricksters, scoundrels, jokemasters and pranksters, that you expect falsehoods to come from once in a while. You know they’re just play’n you.

They’re Play’n

Sad as it is, we live in a world of distrust. Truth seems to be on the verge of extinction.

From Madoff to Enron, big name business scams and small-time snake-oil salesmen have come and gone. They were about money and power. Smaller scams are often not even considered newsworthy. Let’s not forget political scandals. Lists and pages wouldn’t cover the hand-in-the-cookie jar type of stories that have come from national and state office holders. From the White House to the State House and the Town Hall, we wonder how these people could have been elected to public office.

Big Pharma has a lot to answer to. With billions, yes, billions of dollars being paid out in vaccine injury settlements and the Tuskeegee type scandals of how groups of people are used as human guinea pigs for experimentation. Money and power are always in the mix.

Not A Game

Abortion has got to be the greatest deceit ever perpetrated on mankind, in my opinion. The secret is out and we are still not convinced. We know what it is. You know what it does. We know the impact.  It is all about money and power.

The initial commotion to the revelation of a truth is proportional to how deeply the lie has been believed.

The drumming of pro-abortion slogans have been so beaten into us, that it has just about become part of our DNA. “My body-my choice” “Keep your rosaries off my ovaries” “Women’s rights” “Women’s healthcare” These are euphemisms.

A euphemism is a polite expression used in place of words or phrases that otherwise might be considered harsh or unpleasant to hear. We use the word abortion instead of saying, “killing tiny baby human beings inside of their mothers where others cannot see their development.” This is to numb our minds to it, so that our emotional center is not disturbed enough to alert our logical brains, because the injustice of the statement is not lost when you actually describe what is happening.

If we describe abortion procedures clearly, there can be no room for complacency. That is, unless one is completely devoid of a sense of compassion for our fellow human beings. When we actually admit that abortion is chosen by adults, who pay other adults to cut up and dispose of the weakest and most completely helpless, defenseless baby humans, it is unconscionable.

Of course, there are people who would advocate for the same savage cruelty after children are born. For most people,  it is considered child abuse to kill bigger children by stabbing them and tearing off their limbs. This is not acceptable in civil society, right?

Play’n for Keeps

Or is it? I contend, it is and has been acceptable for over forty years. The people committing abortions know what they are doing, but the euphemisms have done their work to separate the logical injustice from the emotional reality. As a society, we have come to accept that when adults wish to dispose of children, it is within their ability to choose to do so. Conversely, many are outraged when we see bad parenting or child abuse or bullying. How is this logical?

Words convey ideas. Ideas have consequences.

Don’t let anyone play you. Find out what is the real meaning of the words they use. Ask who benefits, who suffers, is it just, is it true, where does it lead -to what logical end.
