The Great Divide Tipping Point

Skip Murphy asked me if I thought we were at a tipping point of the country moving over to the pro-life position during an interview last week. He noted the CMP videos and the ensuing social media commotion.

The main stream media is largely ignoring the issue. As they have done for more than four decades. I read that about half the country doesn’t know what the videos are about. This is the very worst genocide ever perpetrated and our own countrymen don’t know about it.

The accurate view of the humanity of the children killed by abortion is readily available. The question has no longer been whether human beings are being killed.

The question is what is the value of those human beings. Will our society ascribe a similar value to human lives as ISIS? Will we emulate Stalin, or Hitler or Planned Parenthood? All three used humans for profit and disposed of them as one might an old shoe or a used up object.

When asked the question about a tipping point, I responded that I hope so, but my experience has been that some people will never value the lives of others. It goes all the way back to the first family. Throughout history, there have been brutal people.

In our country, a nation founded on laws, we had a pretty good run. Of course there were problems with pockets of Native American genocide and with the terrible tragedy of slavery. Evil-doers were prosecuted and laws enacted to prevent these atrocities from continuing.

Will the US enact laws to prevent the current genocide? I think we have. Our founding documents the Declaration or Independence, the bill of Rights and the US Constitution all protect the right to life. With untold consequences, our legislators took their cue from five unelected men in 1973.

In a grievous act of judicial supremacy, they told the country that our country’s preborn children would not be protected in the same way as born children. Thus, a distinction of class was enacted across the nation.

This class of people could not speak up for themselves. Much like the native americans or the foreign slaves, who contended with a language barrier, they have no way to plead their case. It is up to society. It is up to you and me to come to their defense.

I think the dividing will take some time, but much like past injustices, there will be people on both sides. I think that the squishy middle will get really small. Let the debate continue.

As I’d written last week, a large segment of the church is on the wrong side. If you claim to believe in the Judeo-Christian God, you must not be silent in this. Too many Scriptures teach us to proclaim the Truth in love, rescue those drawn to the death, protect the defenseless, provide for the poor, and preach the Gospel to every creature.

Mark Crutcher, from Life Dynamics, has been telling people for years that the church isn’t coming. The church could have stopped abortion. I’m not sure if she can now. She is so debilitated. Her members are gutted. Her children are dead. Her influence faded. She’s seeking comfort inside her doors.

God help us. If we don’t get this right, our beloved nation will be obliterated. ISIS is here. Planned Parenthood is here. Obamacare is here. They are at the door. Will we crouch down, waiting until they come for us, or will we go out and stand up for our fellow human beings?

There are books that will be opened at the judgment. They have everything in them; every word, every deed, every opportunity, taken and missed.

Again, I call out the US Church. Where are you? What are you doing? What will history record?
